What is an Assisted Living Facility?

An Assisted Living Facility offers the best of all worlds for seniors who need some help with personal care or daily activities yet who wish to retain their independence to the fullest extent they can. The goal at TCLMH is to foster as much autonomy as the resident is capable of.  We offer 24-hour supervision and an array of support services with privacy, space and dignity.

 

Who is an appropriate candidate for Assisted Living?

Approximately one million Americans currently live in Assisted Living Facilities. Often residents are people who have lost their spouse and who prefer living in an atmosphere with support and socialization.

 

Are meals included in the rent?

Yes! Enjoy three healthful, flavorful meals every day and snacks as desired. We take pride in the variety of menus and entrée choices offered in our spacious relaxing dining room. In case of short term illness we can make arrangements to have meals delivered to your apartment. Guest meals are also available at a reasonable cost.

 

What activities and transportation services are available?

     Many social and leisure activities are available for your participation. These activities are tailored to your own desires and wishes. Trained staff plan and coordinate a variety of activities. We also have wellness facilities for residents to maintain their strength and balance.

     You may have your own vehicle for transportation or the Endowment Van is available for planned trips to nearby recreational, social, educational and cultural events. The van also makes scheduled trips to shopping, banks and other popular stops. Doctor’s offices are available close by. You can visit the physician clinic without ever stepping outside.

 

What services are included in my rent?

     24 hour emergency response is provided to you at no extra cost by Lifeline. Housekeeping of your apartment is available on a weekly basis. Services include light dusting, vacuuming, cleaning of hard surface floors and bathrooms.

     Weekly laundering is available for all of your linens and clothing. If you prefer to do your own laundry a washer and dryer is available at your convenience.

All utilities, except telephone, are included in the rent. This includes basic cable television. Each apartment has individually controlled heating and air conditioning. All exterior maintenance is provided for you.

 

What services require an extra charge?

Pets require a $400 pet deposit.

Telephone is your responsibility.

Apartment requires a $400 security deposit.

Level 2 supervision.

 

What is Level 2 Assisted Living?

     Level 2 is available when you need more intense services like daily medication administration, assistance with bathing, reminders to go to meals, fluid balance (daily I&O) and blood glucose monitoring.
