Text Box: Former WaKeeney Resident Donates Quilt

Mona Burt (Hager) has donated a beautiful Christmas Tree Quilt to the Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop, as she remembers WaKeeney as the “Christmas City of the High Plains.” The queen size Christmas Tree Quilt, a K–State T-shirt throw and a KU T-shirt throw, which she hand crafted, will be on display at the gift shop. Tickets will be $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. The drawing will be held on Friday, December 12th at 4 p.m. Winners do not need to be present to win.
These beautiful items which Mona has graciously donated of her time, talents and materials, would make wonderful Christmas gifts. Stop by today to purchase your tickets.
WaKeeney is fortunate to have former residents like Mona who generously support their home town fund raising events.
Mona grew up in WaKeeney and is the daughter of the late Darrold & Virginia (Jody) Hager. She lives in Topeka with her husband, Alan, where she works in the medical field. She enjoys making quilts and donating them to fundraisers.
The Hospital Auxiliary wishes to express its sincere thanks to Mona for her generous donation; it is appreciated very much.
