Trego County Home Health Services

Trego County Home Health was established in 1994 to assist those in our community who have been discharged from the hospital and need nursing care, those living at home with chronic illnesses or disabilities, and other who need assistance to maintain their independence in the home.Trego County Home Health delivers care in the home to promote, maintain and restore the client's health. Professional nurses and Rehab Professionals provide needed care to homebound clients. Our professionals monitor and report progress to the physician. We inform, educate and instruct individuals and their families about their illness and assist them with obtaining needed healthcare services.

Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital is proud to acknowledge hospital employee Sydnee Beydler, District 6 Representative of Kansas Home Care Association (KHCA), for her dedication to Home Care Services. Counties in District 6 include: Cheyenne, Rawlins, Decatur, Norton, Phillips, Smith, Sherman, Thomas, Sheridan, Graham, Rooks, Osborne, Wallace, Logan, Gove, Trego, Ellis, Russell, Greeley, Wichita, Scott, Lane, Ness, Rush and Barton.

As the District 6 Representative, Sydnee helps all KHCA Home Health agencies in her district keep current on changes within the Home Health world. She also encourages non-members or new agencies to join. The purpose of being a KHCA member is to have better access to survey updates and changes, reimbursement changes, ICD changes, ongoing implementation of KanCare and to help agencies and staff stay updated on training and education opportunities.

Home Delivered Meals

Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital home delivered meals were started in 2005 to accommodate customers in WaKeeney who required special diets. Meals are made in the hospital kitchen and delivered by volunteers from the local community.

Meals are delivered Monday thru Friday for the noon meal. Holidays and weekends are excluded. That does not mean you will go without, though. If you are able to drive to the hospital to pick up your meals, you can have them beautifully prepared twice daily including weekends and holidays. Cost of the meals is $4.00. Dietary staff tracks the meals and the customer is billed monthly from the TCLMH business office.
